What if I owe government loans (i.e. OSAP)?As long as your student loans are in good standing any funds you receive will not be affected.Can my accountant do this?Most accountants do not know how to correctly claim government disability credits. Canadian Support Services are not only specialists in obtaining these credits but experts in optimizing these credits for a larger refund.Will this process affect my taxes negatively?No, this process will not affect your taxes negatively. AT promotes greater independence by enabling people to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing, by providing enhancements to or changed methods of interacting with the technology needed to accomplish such tasks.Canadian Pension Plan Disability AppealsThe Canada Pension Plan (CPP) has been in effect since 1966. It is a national plan based on contributions from workers and employers in Canada. It is best known for its retirement pension, but also provides survivor, death and disability benefits to CPP contributors and their families.The CPP Disability program is the largest long-term disability insurance program in Canada. Its primary role is to replace a portion of income for CPP contributors who cannot work because of a disability that is both severe and prolonged (as defined by the CPP legislation).Child Disability BenefitsThe Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) is a tax-free monthly payment available to eligible Canadian families to help with the cost of raising children. In general, a dental insurance plan covers a percentage of the dental charges incurred at a dental office. They have a wide range of coverage options which may include free preventative services such as cleanings. There is no industry standard annual maximum limitation, deductable, or co-pay. Such coverages and benefit limitations are determined by each insurance company as filed with the department of insurance.Disability InsuranceDisability Insurance, often called DI or disability income insurance, is a form of insurance that insures the beneficiary's earned income against the risk that disability will make working (and therefore earning) impossible. It includes paid sick leave, short-term disability benefits, and long-term disability benefits.Disability Tax CreditsThe disability tax credit is a non-refundable tax credit used to reduce income tax payable on your return. This amount includes a supplement for persons under 18 at the end of the year. All or part of this amount may be transferred to your spouse or common-law partner if they have been assisting you during your time of disability.Legal Counsel BenefitsLegal Counsel Benefits provide legal assistance to people otherwise unable to afford legal representation or access to the court system, which is regarded as essential in providing access to justice by ensuring equality before the law, the right to counsel and the right to a fair trial.A number of delivery models have emerged over the years, including duty lawyers, community legal clinics and the payment of lawyers to deal with cases for individuals who are disabled.Medical Expense RefundsIndividuals with doctor and government acknowledged / certified impairments are able to recoup some of the expenses incurred due to their disability, disorder, or disease., when filing their personal income taxes. The percentage that can be refunded is based on the province or territory you live in.Medical InsuranceMany families throughout Canada are left without proper coverage for regular dental care, vision care, prescription drugs, and unforeseen health care emergencies. This is the main reason why supplemental health insurance is important to have. By purchasing a plan, you are providing yourself and your family with the proper health coverage needed to account for many unforeseen expenses that are not covered by the government system.Personal Income Taxes FilingIndividuals and families interested in making sure all disability entitlements are documented on their CRA file can benefit from this service. Almost every year there are amendments and new benefits added that are often missed by conventional accountants. Canadian Support Services specializes in assisting the disabled and their families on the road to a better financial future.Registered Disability Savings BondsFamilies whose net income is $37,885 or less will receive annual Canada Disability Savings Bonds of up to $1,000 towards the RDSP. Like the grant, these bonds can be received until the year the beneficiary turns 49 years old, up to a lifetime limit of $20,000.Registered Disability Savings GrantsThe federal government will match contributions made to the RDSP with Canada Disability Savings Grants. The grant amount depends on the size of the annual contribution as well as family net income. Canadians with a family income under $75,769 who deposit $1,500 can receive $3,500.* These grants will be available until the year the beneficiary turns 49, to a maximum of $70,000.Working Income Tax BenefitsThe working income tax benefit (WITB) is a federal refundable tax credit which has been available since 2007, for low-income individuals or families with working income over $3,000 (base amount for most provinces and territories). The calculations for Alberta, BC, Qu?bec, and Nunavut differ from the amounts for other provinces and territories.

RDSP The RDSP is a new federally registered savings plan that is delivered by the Canada Revenue Agency. It is designed to ensure long-term financial security for people with disabilities. Beneficiaries may receive the added benefit of government grants and bonds. The RDSP, grant and bond are initiatives of the Government of Canada. Canadian Support Services encourages people to apply for RDSPs. This savings plan aligns with the Independent Living philosophy encouraging people with disabilities to plan for their long term financial security and the future costs of disability needs. The plan structure is similar to the Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).Contributions are matched by federal grantsThe federal government will match contributions made to the RDSP with Canada Disability Savings Grants. The grant amount depends on the size of the annual contribution as well as family net income. Canadians with a family income under $75,769 who deposit $1,500 can receive $3,500.* These grants will be available until the year the beneficiary turns 49, to a maximum of $70,000.Low-income families receive an additional bondFamilies whose net income is $41,544 or less will receive annual Canada Disability Savings Bonds of up to $1,000 towards the RDSP. Like the grant, these bonds can be received until the year the beneficiary turns 49 years old, up to a lifetime limit of $20,000.Investment income is tax-exempt until withdrawalEarnings generated by contributions to the savings plan are tax-exempt while they stay in the plan. When earnings are withdrawn, they are taxable in the hands of the beneficiary and likely to be taxed at a lower rate. Did you Know?Even if you are unable to contribute within a calendar year, you may be able to receive up to $1000 into you RDSP through the Canada Disability Savings Bond.If a financial contribution is made by you, a friend or a family member there are additional federal government contributions made to your RDSP each year through the Canada Disability Savings Grant Program. RDSPs do not have any impact on any other Federal Benefits you may be receiving.The growth of your RDSP is not taxable until the money is withdrawn (see www.cra.gc.ca/disability for details).Once you decide to withdraw from your RDSP the money can be used for any purpose.Grant and bond contributions are contributed to your RDSP until age 49.There is a lifetime contribution limit of $200,000 per plan.There are no annual contribution limits put on you.You may establish a plan in trust of another person as long as you posses the legal authority to do so. For example if the person is a minor or lacks the capacity to establish a plan on their own.

Please include any relevant slips, receipts and information in order for Canadian support services to correctly file your 2009 tax return. Once we have received your documents accompanied by your tax preparation fee we will proceed with your filing. Please note that the process may take between 10-15 business days to complete.
